This company is not transparent at all. They will decline your transaction willy-nilly. When you call 8003256000, they will just say its "security reasons". I wish to know what security reasons? I specifically want to mention Chris who just hung up the call. Is this courtesy? 17th April, 2021 1525 UTC +2

Do not use this company. Appalling website -wouldn't let me enter my birthdate correctly. Told to use app - this wouldn't let me log on. Had to go into store. Did transaction next day WU messed it up -lied to me, send me and recipient on wild goose chase. Will never use this company again and advise others to avoid like the plague.

The last 4 times I have attempted to use this service it has been an awful experience! WU has no problem taking your money and CHARGING YOU HIGH FEES but won't release the funds TO THE RECICIVER. WU puts transfer on hold and your forced to call back to have funds released and after a lengthy hold time you get a customer service personnel that barely speaks English. WU says they are protecting your from FRUAD well who is protecting us from WU? Don't use this service there is too much competition out there for money transfers. Don't be fooled WU is a trap.
BTW: I just spent 20 mins on hold (3rd call back for same transaction)and the system automatically disconnected me. WU should be put out of business.

Excellent, excellent service. Fast (as claimed) and they send you a text when receiver has picked up the money which gave peace of mind. For the country of Iraq, anyway, the best way to send a lot of funds, superior to the competitors in my experience. Will use again!

Today 4/21/2021-no fluently English speaking CS guy (sounds like African or Indian guy) needs more training on how to be an effective customer service. He was so fast and he put this echoing noise on me while he claimed he was explaining which I didn't hear any of those because of that noise then when I told him I didn't hear anything because of that echoing noise, he told me this "You let me talk & talk then you will tell me you did hear it & you want me to repeat it"? Is that how Western Union trained this guy to work as customer service? I told him he was rude & I don't want to talk to him. Zero star for him. Whoever you are, or for those who are like him, go online even YouTube, you will learn & get ideas on how to be an effective customer service or just learn the basic to work as customer service. Next CS who helped me correct the name of the receiver is really good. Kudos to you & to those who are like you. Western Union needs more employees like you. Mahalo

outdated , slow support ! the only thing their support knows is : We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to help you with your money transfer needs.Thank you for choosing Western Union. no sorry this is the last time i will ever use your services !!!!!!

you and the receiver get charged fees and unfavorable exchange rates. avoid this last century technology , banking company

Why is it western union given people hard time to collect their money? After all your service is not for free. Why is there a problem to send 1500 or 2000?
And people are allowed to send to countries like mexico? And yet there is a problem to collect? This sucks..

Every time I try to send money to my husband overseas the tracking says it is available and then when he reaches there to pick it up it is suddenly put on hold for fraud reasons. Then I have to call customer services and go through an inquisition with so many personal questions about my relationship and what I'm sending money for and why I'm sending so often etc etc! It is so humiliating and frustrating and time wasting for both of us. We have been separated for months now because of Covid restrictions and it's already traumatising, so to have to go through this makes it worse! If I want to send money to someone it is my business only!! I understand the need to prevent fraud but not when there is an established pattern of transactions and we have both provided proof of ID. This is excessive for relatively small transactions. I will be looking for another provider now. I can't stand this any more.

Traditional money transfer aka Western Union will get beat by online transfer cause - convenience, I go through a credit review to send with Western Union while online and crypto is easy. F banks and bureaucracy.


I send money to friend and I accidentally wrote his name wrong with one letter and then he went to pick up the money and they told him one letter of his name is wrong then i tried to enter their system with my email and own password unfortunately their system was terrible and taking hours to reload I decided to send the money again and I sent the friend same amount of money and I talk to them they told me that they will refund me the first money that he didn't pick up ,in 6 business days,then what I saw was they refund me half of the money and they manage to access my own bank account and they deleted all information that can help me to claim my money.anyway that is very sad and I wouldn't recommend any one-one to use western union for any reason.

I like your App. Very easy to send money with WU App with few steps.
